Online Safety at Discreet Liaisons

We built Discreet Liaisons to be private, safe, and respectful. This page explains how we keep it that way — who we are, what we do to protect our members, and how to reach us if something feels wrong.

Who We Are

Discreet Liaisons is a UK-operated, adults-only dating platform at discreetliaisons.co.uk. We are a small, independent service — not a social media platform — and we take our responsibilities under the Online Safety Act 2023 seriously.

Adults Only — How We Protect Children

Discreet Liaisons is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We have taken the following steps to make the Platform unsuitable for and inaccessible to children:

• Date of birth required at registration — we collect and verify a date of birth for every member, and accounts claiming to be under 18 are rejected immediately.
• Registration wall — no content is visible to anyone who has not created a verified adult account. There are no public profiles, no public photos, and no public messaging.
• No social media login — we do not use Facebook, Google, or any social sign-in, which reduces the risk of accidental registration by minors using a parent's social account.
• Adult-only purpose — the Platform's clearly adult nature, subject matter, and paid subscription model are inherently unappealing and inaccessible to children.
• Formal Children's Access Assessment completed — we have conducted a formal Children's Access Assessment in accordance with the Online Safety Act 2023 and Ofcom's January 2025 guidance, which concluded that children are unlikely to access the Platform.

How We Moderate Content

All photographs uploaded to the Platform are reviewed by a human moderator before they are shown to any other member. We do not permit:

• Nudity or sexually explicit images;
• Images involving minors in any context;
• Images of people other than the account holder without consent;
• Any content that is illegal under UK law.

Photos that do not meet our standards are rejected and never made visible to other members. Members who repeatedly submit non-compliant images are suspended.

How You Can Report Problems

Every member profile has a Report button. Use it if you experience or witness:

• Harassment or threatening messages;
• Suspicious profiles that appear fake or fraudulent;
• Anyone asking you for money;
• Any content or behaviour that feels unsafe or illegal.

Reports are reviewed within 72 hours. We will take action on every genuine report — that may mean warning, suspending, or permanently removing an account.

What Happens to Your Data

Your privacy is central to everything we do. We do not sell your personal data. We do not show advertisements. Your billing descriptor is anonymous. Communications on the Platform are private to the participants. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Online Safety Act 2023 — Our Compliance

As a user-to-user platform, Discreet Liaisons is regulated under the Online Safety Act 2023 (“OSA”). We have fulfilled our statutory obligations as a regulated service, including:

• Illegal Content Risk Assessment — completed and reviewed annually;
• Children's Access Assessment — completed, concluding children are unlikely to access the Platform;
• Content Moderation Procedure — a documented procedure for handling reports and removing illegal or harmful content;
• Terms of Service — updated to include OSA-compliant prohibited content and behaviour clauses;
• Safety Contact — a designated safety contact available at safety@discreetliaisons.co.uk.

We review our compliance posture at least annually or when significant changes to the law or Ofcom guidance require it.
